Graham tops Stebbins in girls soccer

ST. PARIS – Graham knocked off Stebbins, 4-0, in CBC girls soccer.

Natalie Woodward scored 2 goals, Kayla Tullis scored 1 goal, Alli Neeld scored 1 goal and Greta Rembold added 1 assist.

Ashton Curnutte was the keeper and had 7 saves.

WL-S girls prevail

West Liberty-Salem defeated Southeastern, 11-0, in OHC girls soccer.

Scoring goals were Taylor Lauck (2), Gabby Hollar (2), Annika Wolfe, Dierdre McGill, Mindy Bailey, Peyton Kerns, Lily Yoder

Destiny Kolota and Ally Smith.

Picking up assists were Morgan Freyhof, McGill, Wolfe, Yoder, Madison Oelker and Kolota.

Laura Neer had 2 saves in goal.

The Tigers are now 7-1, 5-1.

M’burg girls fall

Springfield beat Mechanicsburg, 3-2, in non-league girls soccer.

For the Indians, sophomore Tori Jacobs had 6 total shots on goal, 2 resulting in goals scored. Senior captain Sydney Hux had 4 shots on goal, senior Maddie Maxwell had one shot on goal, sophomore Gabby Terry had one assist, sophomore Jenna Alspaugh had one shot on goal and freshman Kameron Loveless had 7 shots on goal and one assist.

Senior keeper Chayna Sanford had 8 saves.

Triad loses in volleyball

Triad lost to Catholic Central, 25-18, 25-16, 25-19, in OHC volleyball.

For the Cardinals, Jenna Ober had 19 digs, Caleigh Phelps had 13 assists, Madison Dolby had 12 kills, 8 assists and Allyssa Eaton added 6 kills and 3 blocks.

Triad (2-7, 2-4 OHC) will play at the Fairbanks Panther Classic on Saturday.

Triad’s jayvees beat Central, 26-24, 25-16.

For Triad (3-6, 3-3), Kayleigh Rice had 8 points and 16 digs, Jennifer Sizemore had 8 points, 10 assists and 5 kills, Tori Thomas had 10 points, which included 2 aces, and Kristin Bailey had 5 kills.

Urbana tops M’burg in golf

MECHANICSBURG – Urbana beat Mechanicsburg, 199-278, in non-league girls golf.

For Urbana, Maggie Paulsen was medalist with a 48, Liz Wild had a 49, Sidney Flint a 50, Lucy Buckalew a 52, Hannah Flint a 55 and Gabby Pence a 63.

For Mechanicsburg, Sheena Payne had a 58, Ashley Bumgardner a 69, Dodie Howells a 73, Harley Ferguson an 80 and Bridget Sigmon a 78.

WL-S tops Triad in golf

CABLE – Triad was defeated by WL-S, 180-190, in OHC boys golf.

Triad (2-11) was led by Alec Ober with a 41, Caleb Young had a 47, Will McDavida a 49, Shem Pond a 53, Austin Bails a 55 and Zach Warner a 55.

For WL-S (4-9), Dillon Callicoat was medalist with a 37, Max Eggleston had a 42, Michael Frederick a 48, Tyler Gardner a 52, Tylar Jett a 60 and Bryce Ward a 71.

Junior high volleyball

The WL-S 7th graders beat Mechanicsburg, 24-26, 25-23, 25-10. Emily Bolton and Maddie Hutton both had 4 aces and Olivia Muirhead added 4 good serve receives for the Tigers.

The WL-S 8th graders won, 25-19, 18-25, 25-22. Kennah Erwin had 6 good serve receives, Alex Burton had 9 kills and Sydnee Payer added 5 for the Tigers.
