Urbana boys defeat Indian Lake in golf

Urbana defeated Indian Lake, 190-208, in CBC boys golf on Monday.

For the Hillclimbers (3-9), Luc Russell had a 46, Greg Coffey a 47, Josh Blakely a 48, Cole Headlee a 49 and Sklyer Reisinger a 51.

Indians top Cardinals

Mechanicsburg defeated Triad, 166-193, in OHC boys golf.

M’burg low-man Caleb Westfall had a 35, Mack Cushman had a 42, Corey Bogan had a 43, Cody Minor had a 46, Jack Shoemaker shot a 47 and Austin Wolfe carded a 49.

For Triad, Caleb Young had a 46, Alec Ober had a 47, William McDavid shot a 48, Braxton Perry carded a 52, Creighton Bradley shot 59 and Zach Warner had a 63.

Triad girls place 2nd

Triad (226) placed 2nd out of three teams in a girls golf match with Greenon (216) and Riverside (227) at Cherokee Hills on Monday.

Triad was led by Jen Pelfrey’s 56. Sabrina Thompson also had a 56, Jess Woodard a 57, Sabrina Thompson a 57, Chasity Curton a 63 and Courtney Yutzy a 65.

Triad wins in volleyball

Triad beat Northeastern, 25-18, 15-25, 26-24, 25-21, in OHC volleyball on Monday.

For the Cardinals, Jenna Ober had 18 digs, Madison Dolby had 9 kills and 12 digs and Brianna Eaton had 5 blocks and 3 kills.

Triad (2-6, 2-3 OHC) will host Catholic Central on Thursday.

Triad’s jayvees won, 11-25, 25-20, 25-17. For Triad (2-6, 2-3), Kayleigh Rice had 21 digs, 3 aces and 9 points, Tori Thomas had 7 digs and 18 points, Kristin Bailey had 3 aces, 11 points and 5 kills and Kaitlynn Pence had 5 kills.

Mechanicsburg prevails

Mechanicsburg defeated Greeneview, 25-14, 25-18, 25-13 in OHC volleyball on Monday.

For the Indians (5-3, 3-2), Katie Bush had 26 assists, 7 digs and 4 kills, Mary Mayo had 8 kills and Miranda Lauchard added 5 kills and 12 digs.

Graham girls fall in soccer

BELLEFONTAINE – Graham lost to Bellefontaine, 4-0, in CBC girls soccer on Monday.

Graham is now 2-1-1 overall.

Jayvee soccer

The WL-S jayvee girls soccer team tied Miami East, 1-1, on Monday.

Peyton Kerns had the goal for the Tigers and in goal, Laura Neer had 5 saves and Rachel McGill had 4.

Junior high cross country

The West Liberty-Salem Middle School cross country teams completed at the Spencerville Invitational.

The girls finished 2nd out of 18 teams. Katelyn Stapleton (2nd, 12:38), Grace Adams (3rd, 12:43) and Madison Bahan (4th, 12:54) all finished in the top 10.

The boys were 13th out of 18 teams. Noah Smith (4th, 11:44), Gavin Harrison (50th, 13:09) and Cade Clerico (57th, 13:16) were the high finishers for the Tigers.
