M’burg tops Triad in volleyball

Triad lost to Mechanicsburg, 25-22, 25-17, 25-22, in OHC volleyball on Thursday.

For the Indians (1-1, 1-1), Emma Dunham had 9 kills and 5 blocks and Katie Bush added 22 assists.

For the Cardinals (0-5, 0-2), Allyssa Eaton had 7 kills, Madison Dolby had 5 kills, 6 assists and 5 digs and Bailey Printz had 5 blocks.

Triad’s jayvees lost to Mechanicsburg, 25-23, 25-17. For Triad, Kristin Bailey had 9 points, Jennifer Sizemore had 7 points and 7 assists, Kiki Zizzo had 8 points and 7 digs and Kayleigh Boldman had 5 kills.

Triad will host Greeneview on Tuesday.

WL-S prevails in volleyball

WL-S’s volleyball team beat Northeastern, 25-13, 25-3, 27-25, in OHC action.

For the Tigers (5-0), Jamie Peterson had 10 ace serves, 11 digs and 14 kills, Emily Schultz had 3 ace serves and 12 digs, Kylie Gilroy had 23 assists and 3 ace serves, Kaylee Harrison had 5 kills and 4 total blocks and Olivia Ames had 12 digs.

Hillclimbers win

Urbana defeated Northwestern, 25-21, 25-10, 25-20, in CBC/MRD volleyball on Thursday.

Hunter Rogan had 9 kills and 9 digs for the Hillclimbers (4-1, 1-1 CBC). Mckenzee Martin had 8 kills, Macy Pierce had 6 kills and 3 blocks, Kaelyn Bertsch had 6 kills and Olivia Dunham had 16 assists.

The UHS junior varsity also won, 20-25, 25-22, 25-13. Taylor Adams had 11 assists and 11 digs, Megan Ridder had 7 kills and Mackenzie Bean had 5 kills.

Graham prevails

Graham defeated Greenon in straight sets on Thursday night in CBC/MRD volleyball.

For the Falcons (4-0, 2-0), Lisa DeWeese had 13 kills, Carly Carafa had 12 kills and Kaitlin Trace had 9 kills and 4 blocks. Molly Hamilton added 36 assists and 3 aces.

The Falcons will play at Kettering Fairmont on Wednesday.

Triad girls fall in golf

CABLE – Triad lost to Catholic Central, 208-231, in OHC girls golf. Triad (1-4) was led by Macy Linscott’s 45. Jess Woodard had a 60, Chasity Curton a 63 and Jen Pelfrey a 63.

Rams top Indians

Greeneview beat Mechanicsburg, 180-183, in OHC boys golf. Caleb Westfall led the Indians with a 40. Mack Cushman had a 43, Austin Wolfe and Jack Shoemaker carded a pair of 50s, Corey Bogan shot 51 and David McMahill had a 57.

Urbana loses in girls soccer

SPRINGFIELD – Shawnee defeated Urbana, 4-1, in CBC girls soccer.

Jennifer Tracy scored the goal for UHS, and Sara Lingrell had nine saves in goal.

Urbana won the jayvee match, 3-1.

WL-S girls win in soccer

WL-S defeated Miami East, 1-0, in non-league girls soccer.

Gabby Hollar scored the goal for the Tigers and Annika Wolfe added the assist.

Paige Shafer had 15 saves in goal for WL-S (3-0).
