Falcons split with Knights

ENON – Graham beat Greenon, 3-2, in CBC/MRD softball on Monday.

For the Falcons, Madison Bryant was 2 for 4 with a double and got the win in the circle. Morgan Rush was 2 for 3 and Alyssa Theodor was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.

Graham (14-5, 11-3 CBC) hosts Greenon today.

Graham baseball falls

ENON – Greenon beat Graham, 8-5, in CBC/MRD baseball on Monday.

Allen St. Myers had 2 hits for the Falcons and Mark Ward drove in 2 runs.

WL-S softball wins

WAPAKONETA – West Liberty-Salem defeated Wapakoneta, 4-1, in non-league softball on Monday.

For WL-S, Kelsey Day was 3 for 4 with a triple and a double, Dierdre McGill was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Kiana Reames was 1 for 2 with a triple. Mady Stratton was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Hallie Strapp was 1 for 1 with an RBI and Olivia Ames was 1 for 3.

The WL-S jayvees beat Beavercreek’s “B” team, 22-7. Erica McCall, Laura Neer, Maddie Estes, Tory Cordell, Laine Godwin, Shea Teets and Abby Dillon each recorded 2 hits for WL-S.

WL-S jayvee baseball loses

West Liberty-Salem’s jayvee baseball team lost to Versailles, 13-3. Trevor Burden had 2 doubles, while Tanner Workman, Tyler Jones and Garrett Predmore each had an RBI for WL-S.

Urbana tennis remains perfect

Urbana defeated Cedarville, 5-0, in non-league tennis on Monday.

In first singles, Mklaine Eggleston won 7-6 (7-2), 6-3. In second singles, Andrew Fansler won 5-7, 6-1, 6-1. In third singles, Langston Kitchen won 6-0, 6-4.

In the first doubles match, Greg Coffey and Nick Shank won 6-1, 6-1 and in second doubles, Wes Brown and Bailey Ullah won 6-2, 6-3.

Junior high track

The West Liberty-Salem boys’ middle school track team was second at the BOSS Invitational.

Winning events for the Tigers were Ethan Cole (110H, 200H), Cade Clerico (800) and Johnny Buchenroth (high jump).

Golf scramble to benefit Triad

The Triad Quarterback Club will host the 15th Annual Triad Football Golf Scramble on Saturday, May 14 at Woodland Golf Course. The event will feature a 2 p.m. shotgun start.

The entry fee of $50 per player or $200 per team features greens fees, cart rental, dinner and prizes that include longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin. There will also be a skins game, 50/50 drawing and door prizes available.
