Mechanicsburg will have two members of its state champion bowling squad moving on to the college level, with both Lauren Mayberry and Michaela Edwards signing national letters of intent on Wednesday.

Mayberry will sign with Duquesne University and Edwards will sign with Youngstown State University.

Both girls will receive scholarships to the Division I schools.

In the 2015-16 postseason, Mayberry won the sectional tournament with a 213-214-212/639 series. She had a 149-191-174/514 at the district tournament before finishing with a 525 at state – good for 43rd as an individual.

Edwards finished with a 560 at the sectional before bowling a 194-234-190/618 series at the district meet. She went on to finish 24th at the state tournament as an individual, rolling a 563 series.
