With an unprecedented eleven persons running for four Urbana School Board positions, it becomes important that we select the most qualified candidates. I point your attention to two candidates with superb educational backgrounds and qualifications.

Jim Arter is a retired educator with 35 years of experience in the classroom and in leadership positions. Jim has won outstanding educator awards. He has previous Urbana School Board experience, serving two years as president. Jim is enthusiastic in everything he undertakes.

Amy Shaloo Paul is presently in her 30th year as an educator in a variety of capacities (19 years in Urbana). She has worn many hats as a classroom teacher, a gifted teacher and now as an elementary principal in Springfield. Impressive broad experiences.

Both Amy and Jim are fair-minded consensus builders, superb communicators, and recognized team builders. Their only agenda is to bring their abilities to the Board to make Urbana Schools the best.
