I would like to speak for the .3 tenths of a mill levy the Champaign County Historical Society is hoping will be approved this Nov. 8. The Museum would like to employ a professional director and curator with full time responsibilities. Does this mean we will not need volunteers? Absolutely not. Volunteers are a needed force to keep things moving. With expanded hours we will require help to meet and greet people during the week and other daily activities. Talk to your friends and neighbors and encourage them to vote for the levy so that we can keep up with the 21st century.
