ST. PARIS – Outreach and communication with our community members and partners is a top priority as we prepare for our future within the Graham Local School District. If our schools are to be successful, we must have excellent communications and dialogue on important issues and priorities with all stakeholders.

In order to accomplish this, we would like to send an open invitation to all of our residents, requesting their attendance for the State of the Schools event at Graham High School. This event will take place in the High School Media Center at 6 p.m. Monday, October 23. Here is a bit of what we intend to cover that night:

As we continue to prepare our students to be Future Ready, we would like to take this opportunity to share all of the exciting things that are happening in the district and what is expected to happen as the year progresses. Incorporated with our vision: Success Today, Prepared for Tomorrow, we are determined to lay the groundwork that will result in our students having success after leaving our schools, whether that be to go to college or enter the workforce.

Without a doubt, we live at an amazing time. We are seeing unprecedented technological and workforce changes in the world and we must educate and prepare our students for what awaits them beyond their Graham experience. That means that we have to balance what our students need to be competitive with what we are able to provide within our modest budget. That reflects the partnership and dialogue that we must have with residents and all stakeholders.

Over the next several months, we will continue creating intentional experiences for our students, seek alternatives to compensate for the financial shortages that we are inevitably going to encounter, and celebrate each and every day the amazing work that our students and staff members produce continuously demonstrate.

Please join us on Monday, October 23, for the State of the Schools event. Find out about the great things we have going and learn about what is ahead. With the help of our entire community, we can continue to make Graham soar, this year and beyond!
