Group collecting new and used books

0

Cuttahotha Society of the Children of the American Revolution will collect new and used books during March. Books in good condition may be placed in boxes at the Champaign Family YMCA or at the First Presbyterian Church, 116 W. Court St. during office hours.

The books are distributed by members of the local C.A.R. to various charitable institutions in Columbus that have requested books for their clients. These institutions serve homeless people, students whose homes lack books, schools and shelters for abused people.

Any type of book is welcome, but textbooks are not usually accepted. Children’s books are in great demand.

Collection boxes will be available through Monday, March 28.

Questions may be directed to Janet Ebert at 937-653-3440.

C.A.R. members organizing collected books include, from left, Megan Snyder, Evan Brinnon, Camille Brinnon and Rachel Ebert.
