WEST LIBERTY – The village will host its Bicentennial Celebration July 6-9, 2017. Planning already has started to celebrate the village’s first 200 years (1867-2017). Village officials are asking creative people to come up with a logo to appear on T-shirts, commemorative plates, wooden nickels, coffee mugs, shopping bags, history books, etc.

Submit proposed logos by March 25, 2016, to the West Liberty clerk’s office or at the bake sale in front of Trumpet Vine on Saturday, March 26. Logos should be no bigger than 8 ½ inches by 14 inches. Submitter’s name, address and phone number should be placed on the back of the logo.

Judging will be on March 29 by committee members. The 1st place submitter will receive $50; 2nd place, $25; and 3rd place, $10.
