PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

Punkin, one-and-a-half years old, is an orange and white female domestic short hair cat. She had a litter of kittens the day she came to the shelter and they have long since grown and been adopted. It’s Punkin’s turn. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is looking a home to call her own. She gets along with other cats and would love for you to come meet her.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League (dog)

Bella Louise is an 8-year-old Chihuahua weighing 13 pounds and is an owner surrender. She is filled with much energy and love and is looking for a home where she can be spoiled as much as she deserves. She is dog-friendly and we are unsure of cats, but we can cat-test her if needed. Bella is house-trained and has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current on all preventions and vaccinations.

Please note: CCAWL is hosting “First Friday of the Month”wellness checkups for the public. There is a $15 office charge per animal and shots will be available at that time for $12 per shot. Please call or come in to set up an appointment

Dog/cat adoption applications are at www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com or pick one up at our facility during business hours or request one by email. Adoption fee for puppies/dogs is $200. Lower rates apply for Senior Dogs. Adoption fee for kittens/cats is $75. Fees cover spay/neuter, Da2PPL, Bivalent Flu, Bordetella, rabies, worming, heartworm test, flea and heartworm prevention, microchip. Senior Day is the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, noon-2 p.m. Relax in our Senior Center room and get doggie love and kisses. The CCAWL provides a low cost Spay & Neuter Clinic open to the public. During business hours, pre-pay, fill out a surgery info paper and release form and receive a surgery date.

Meet Papaya, an 8-month-old Domesticated Short Hair kitten. He is very affectionate and not shy at all about expressing himself. Papaya has wonderful markings and also a very long tail that rests on his back. He loves to look out the window to see if company is coming and is a total sun-worshiper. Papaya would be the perfect companion for someone who loves to love.He is litter-trained, neutered, micro-chipped, dewormed, tested FeLV/FIV Negative, as well as current on prevention and vaccinations. If interested, please stop by the rescue during business hours.
