OXFORD – Sam Stickley represented Graham High School at the 83rd annual American Legion Buckeye Boys State at Miami University in Oxford. The event was held June 9-16. He was sponsored by American Legion Post 286 in New Carlisle.

American Legion Buckeye Boys State is an eight-day hands-on experience in the operation of the democratic form of government, the organization of political parties, and the relationship of one to the other in shaping Ohio government. Students learn about city, county and state government through a non-partisan objective education approach.

Stickley served as the Buckeye Boys State director of agriculture. He sat in a cabinet meeting with Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and spent time with Tim Derickson, assistant director of the Ohio Dept. of Agriculture.
