OH-04’s finalists in the Congressional Art Competition will have their artwork on display at the Marysville Art League’s Houston House Gallery now until Friday, May 3. One of these works of art will be selected as the district winner for Ohio’s Fourth Congressional District. The Houston House Gallery is located at 264 W. 5th St. in Marysville.

The Congressional Art Competition began in 1982 to provide an opportunity for members of Congress to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of their young constituents. Since then, over 650,000 high school students have been involved with the nationwide competition.

The 2019 Congressional Art Competition was open to all high school students residing in Ohio’s Fourth Congressional District. Each high school within the Fourth District was able to select two winners to compete in the district-wide contest.

The work of art selected as the district winner will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol for one year along with the district winners from across the United States.
