Learn all about roses and their care

Join Ohio State University Extension on May 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. for “All About Roses” and discover a little history, differences in rose types, care, maintenance, selection, pruning, the best roses for the Midwest and new roses in development. Participants will receive a rose to take home.

The event will be held in the Champaign County Community Center auditorium, 1512 S. U.S. Route 68, Urbana. The cost is $30 per person or $35 per couple (one rose per couple). Master Gardeners’ discount price is $20. Preregistration is due by May 10. Late registrations, add $5 and no guaranteed a rose. Make checks payable to OSU Extension and mail to: 1512 South US Hwy 68, Suite B100, Urbana, OH 43078. Cash, check or credit card accepted in the office.

Participants can choose to take home the deep purple Ebb Tide Rose or the colorful and vibrant Ketchup & Mustard Rose.
