Ashlyn Dunn, Taylor Cordial and Jess Salyers, Urbana FFA officers, attended the Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference on Sept. 26 at the State House in Columbus. Attendees toured the building and took photos in between the workshop and lunch.
Students learned how bills are proposed and made. The workshop focused on advocating for agricultural education, informing students about important issues and preparing them to speak with legislators. During the luncheon students go to talk to Senators, Representatives and their aides.
Overall the Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference was a good experience for all who attended and the Urbana FFA cannot wait to attend again next year.
