Building on a fair legacy

The Junior Fair Building named in memoriam for long-time fair board member Melvin Cook will feature new additions this year. A front porch has been built and additional space in the back has been added for the 2018 fair. In the photo, workers put the finishing touches on the additions this week at the Champaign County Fairgrounds. The fair opens today and continues through Friday, Aug. 10.
