INDIAN LAKE – The second annual “Light up the Lake” boat parade will kick off at 9:45 p.m. Saturday. The boats will start lining up at 8:30 p.m. at Fawn Island across from the Moose Lodge.

This unique boat parade will start at Fawn Island and proceed to Paradise Island. The number of boats in the parade will be limited to 50. The best place to watch the parade is on Old Field Beach and along the bike path.

This year’s theme is “Christmas in July.” Santa will be on the beach with candy canes for the kids from 8 to 9 p.m.

It’s not too late to participate in the parade. Dig up those Christmas lights and decorate your boat and join the fun. Registration is still open and you can even sign up the day of the event. The entry fee is $35 the day of the event. The event runs from 8 to 11 p.m. Prizes will be offered for businesses and individuals.

To enter your boat in the parade call 937-843-5392. For more information go http://www.visitindianlakeohio.com
