MECHANICSBURG – On Sept. 17, the Francis family held its annual reunion which included a celebration of the senior members of the Francis family. Juanita Cummings of Groveport, Ohio, was crowned reunion queen.
The origin of the family is Mechanicsburg/Rosedale. There are about 175 members of the family that still live today in Champaign County. The total for the living members of the family is 742 from all over Ohio and states from the East Coast to the West and to the South as well.
There were 83 members of the family at the event on Sept. 17.
