As usual this time of year, the Champaign County Board of Elections invites county residents who are registered voters to consider working the polls during the general election, which is Nov. 7. Those interested can visit the BOE office in the county Community Center on South U.S. Route 68, Urbana, or contact the office at 937-484-1575 or [email protected]

Training for poll workers, both experienced and new, will be the week of Oct. 16.

Those interested in voting with absentee ballots can contact the BOE to have ballots mailed to them. Absentee-ballot voting starts Oct. 11. Onsite voting hours at the BOE will be announced soon.

Those not yet registered to vote have until Oct. 10 to do so. For info, visit or contact the county office.
