PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

My name is Patsy and I am a quiet girl looking for a forever home. I like my fellow cats and I am just the sweetest kitty you’ll ever meet. I have big, gorgeous, curious eyes and a lovable personality! I would love to find my new home with lots of places to explore and a warm lap to crawl in at the end of the day. Wouldn’t you like to bring me home to make your home complete?

Patsy is up to date on her shots and spayed. She has been wormed and she tested negative for feline leukemia. She is litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting Patsy, please come to meet her. You will fall in love with this cute girl!

Stop by Paws Animal Shelter, 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078, or call Paws Animal Shelter at 937-653-6233. The Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday and Monday-closed. You can email us at [email protected]. Visit us at www.facebook.com/paws.urbana.

PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

My name is Sonar and I’m here at Paws in Urbana, just waiting for a home. I’ve been here quite a while now. I’m a Terrier mix boy. I’ve been neutered and I’m about 2 years old. I can’t tell you how much I love you humans – all of you, the big ones, and especially your little ones. I love to be petted and snuggled and I adore those belly rubs!

I don’t do too well with other dogs, but I don’t really mind the kitties. I will probably need to be the only doggy in your life. I like all the attention.

I get to go with a volunteer to get ice cream sometimes, then we go to the park and she says I behave very well. I walk OK on a leash, I ride really well in the car and I am very playful. Won’t you please come and meet me and see if I could be in your family? I would sure love all of you.

Barely Used Pets

My name is Winnie and I am what they call a BeaBull. I am 5 years old and I came here from an Amish puppy mill. I am so glad to be moving forward because I really, really need a forever family of my own. I am a very nice girl and I’m kind of a big girl, too. Shhhhhh…don’t tell anyone, but I weigh 71 pounds! But I carry it well. Won’t you please come out and see me? I promise to be the best girl you ever had and I really don’t take up much room!

Please visit our website: www.barelyusedpets.com. Also, like us on Facebook at Barely Used Pets Rescue (put spaces between the words). Barely Used Pets is located at 844 Jackson Hill Road in Urbana, Ohio. You can give us a call at 937-869-8090. Our regular hours are: Open Sunday 1-4pm, Wednesday and Thursdays 11am-6pm, Fridays 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-2pm. We are closed on Monday and Tuesday. We can always use donations and they are all of those basic supplies that we use so quickly. We are in real need of lots and lots of paper towels! If you can bring us some we would surely appreciate it. Winnie says..”Thanks so much for considering me and helping Barely Used Pets help all of us little ones find our forever homes! OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

If you are looking for that perfect playmate or loving companion, Charlie raises his paw for your attention. Charlie came to the Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) as an abandonment case. He is a 4-month-old happy-go- lucky guy with the most amazing-colored eyes. We guess Charlie to be mostly Beagle mixed in with some Lab. Charlie is not house-trained but he is a bright boy and would easily catch on with a patient owner. He likes children and adults and gets along with cats and other dogs. Charlie weighs just under 20 pounds and is red and brown in color.

Charlie has been fully vetted including neutering, heart worm testing, and fully vaccinated including rabies, worming, and treated with heart worm and flea prevention. We are also vaccinating all of our dogs with the H3N2 Flu Vaccine to combat the dog flu that has entered the area. He has been micro-chipped and comes with his 2017 dog license.

Although CCAWL is normally closed the first Saturday of each month, we are open this Saturday, Sept. 2, to host a yard sale. We will have many dog-related objects available for a donation as well as household and camping items. Ten o’clock is the opening time and will run until 2:00 pm. Everything must go so come out and take a look. We are located at 3858 State Route 56, Mechanicsburg, OH and our phone number is 937-834-5236.

We appreciate your donations of paper towels, leashes, harnesses and collars. Also, please come by and pick up a volunteer application if you would enjoy being a part of this caring enterprise. We will soon be moving into our new facility and are looking forward to meeting animal-loving people who like to make a difference in the lives of dogs and cats.

Five-year-old Winnie surely considers Barely Used Pets a much better abode than the puppy mill from which she came, however, she’s ready for the next big step – a loving forever home of her own.

Although he was abandoned, 4-month-old Charlie is happy and perky and waiting for the perfect person to visit the Champaign County Animal Welfare League and decide to take him home.
