The Champaign County Republican Women’s Club (CCRWC) has donated a set of 5 books to each of the 3 public libraries in Champaign County.

“Our club elected to make the book donation as part of our contribution to education and in an effort to support literacy in the county,” said President Kathy DeWeese, “Each of the five books is written by Rush Limbaugh and explore the earliest days of the United States by offering young readers time travels about Exceptional Americans. Millions of young readers have taken a ride and explored adventures back through our nation’s history with these books and now we are making more of these books available in Champaign County.”

Limbaugh is an author and host of the popular “Rush Limbaugh Show” a radio talk show focusing on American politics.

Representatives from the CCRWC recently traveled to The Saint Paris Public Library to present the books to Library Director Nichole Rush.

“Our library is grateful for the thoughtful donation,” commented Director Rush.

The Mechanicsburg Public Library donation was received by Youth Librarian Caitlin Lloyd and Library Director Tammie Beers. Director Ty Henderson from the Champaign County Public Library in Urbana received the donations for that library.

“The CCRWC invites all Republicans to join our next meeting at 6:30 p.m. on September 28, at Urbana University Student Center, Sara Landess Multipurpose Room,” stated President DeWeese. “Special guest speaker will be Ohio Republican Party Chairman Jane Timken.”

Re-chartered this year, the CCRWC strives to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government, provide political education, foster loyalty to the Republican Party, work for Republican candidates, and support the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican National Committee. It is an avenue for uniting women as a collective force to positively impact the conservative direction of its community while advancing the power of women through political access and participation as they influence policy, develop candidates and elect the leaders of Champaign County, Ohio and the Nation. CCRW is a multi-cultural, multi-generational organization providing the structure and support for political activists to learn, engage, and flourish.
