Clark County Extension hosts gardening event

SPRINGFIELD – OSU Extension of Clark County will host the Snyder Park Gardens & Arboretum (SPGA) Jubilee at Snyder Park, 1900 Park St., Springfield, on Saturday, Aug. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is free.

Hundreds of varieties of plants will be on display in six gardens that include perennial beds, research field trials, turf research plots, Early Ohio Settler’s Garden, Garden of Eatin’ and Victory Garden.

The event includes children’s activities, an opportunity to pick the Plant Doc’s brain, vendors and public service organizations, free hot dogs and popcorn and live music.
