The public is invited to a free preview event celebrating West Liberty’s Bicentennial at Piatt Castles on Thursday, June 29. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., both Mac-A-Cheek and Mac-O-Chee castles will be open free for residents of Logan and Champaign counties. The historic house museums are located one and two miles east of West Liberty on state Route 245.

Day camp

Youths entering grades 4-6 who are interested in drama can register for any remaining spots in Castles Set the Stage, a day camp at Piatt Castles June 19-21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information about registration and payment visit www.piattcastles.com or contact Margaret Piatt at 937-844-3902.

Reduced admission for the Castle Camp and free admission for the West Liberty Bicentennial preview are possible due to a grant from the Columbus Foundation to the Mac-A-Cheek Foundation for the Humanities, a non-profit educational organization.
