Barely Used Pets

Our names are Thor and Spirit and we are a pair of boy chocolate labs. We are 9 and 10 years old and we came out of a bad situation (owner surrender). We are very sweet and affectionate and we have to stay together because you see we have been together our whole lives. We are available on the Senior for Seniors program here at Barely Used Pets. Won’t you please come out and spend some time with us? It has been a big change for us, but they are taking really good care of us here. There are lots of other 4-legged kids all around so we have lots of company and even a playground to run around in! But we are a little older so we don’t run quite as fast as these young whipper-snappers. But we would look great on your living room rug while we all watch TV! Please come out and see us because we just need a new forever family to love us. We will love you back so much you won’t be able to hold it all in a bucket!

Please visit our website: www.barelyusedpets.com. Also, like us on Facebook at Barely Used Pets Rescue (put spaces between the words). Barely Used Pets is located at 844 Jackson Hill Road in Urbana, Ohio. You can give us a call at 937-869-8090. Our regular hours are: Open Sunday 1-4pm, Wednesday and Thursdays 11am-6pm, Fridays 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-2pm. We are CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday. We can always use donations and they are all of those basic supplies that we use so quickly. We are in real need of lots and lots of paper towels! If you can bring us some we would surely appreciate it. Thor and Spirit say…”Thanks so much for considering us and helping Barely Used Pets help all of us little ones find our forever homes! OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”

PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

My name is Pearl and I am a quiet girl looking for a forever home. I like my fellow kitties and I am just the sweetest kitty you’ll ever meet. I have big, gorgeous, curious eyes and a lovable personality! I would love to find my new home with lots of places to explore and a warm lap to climb into at the end of the day. Wouldn’t you like to bring me home to make your home complete? I am up to date on my shots and am spayed. I am litter box trained and I tested negative for feline leukemia. If you are interested in adopting me, please come to meet me. Stop by Paws Animal Shelter located at 1535 West US Highway 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078 or call Paws Animal Shelter at 937-653-6233. The Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday and Monday-closed. You can email us at [email protected]. Visit us at www.facebook.com/paws.urbana. There are many wonderful cats, adorable kittens and fun-loving dogs at the shelter waiting for good homes. Paws Animal Shelter needs donations of Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Complete Cat Chow, Purina Dog Chow and Purina Puppy Chow. We also could use donations of bleach, laundry detergent, 39 gallon trash bags and clumping cat litter. We are a nonprofit organization that operates only by donations. We do not receive any city, county or state funding. We depend on public donations and our adoption fees to run the shelter. Please consider making a donation to help fund our shelter.

PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

At a recent adoption event, Michelle, a PAWS resident, had kisses for everyone and didn’t seem bothered by the crowd, chaos and noise. Just a year old, this Shepherd mix female is spayed, sweet, loving and ready for a loving home. She gets along with just about everyone. She would love to have a family to love and to love her. She is so good with kids.

Please stop out and meet her.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) is happy to introduce you to Zoey, our little Terrier mix. Zoey is an unclaimed stray who has captured the hearts of everyone here. She is house-trained and walks well on a leash. Zoey is a beautiful red color and weighs in at 20.5 pounds. She would be a wonderful addition to any family who would enjoy this happy girl as she is excellent with children.

Zoey has been spayed, heart worm tested, fully vaccinated, wormed, treated with heart worm prevention and flea prevention. Zoey has also been micro-chipped and comes with her 2017 dog license. This loving girl doesn’t know a stranger and gets along fine with other dogs and cats.

If you would like to meet Zoey or any of the residents at CCAWL, please feel free to visit our facility at 3858 state Route 56, Mechanicsburg. Our telephone number is 937-834-5236. To view a listing of all our available pets, please visit petfinder.com and/or adoptapet.com. We do require an approved adoption application for all adoptions.
