Ohio Department of Natural Resources hosts Davey Woods Nature Preserve hike

ST. PARIS – On May 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., all are invited to a guided wildflower hike and garlic mustard pull at Davey Woods State Nature Preserve, located northeast of St. Paris.

This mixed mesophytic forest adorns itself with a rich spring wildflower display. Unfortunately, non-native, invasive garlic mustard threatens the integrity of these gems. After a guided hike focused on the native floral display, participants can help control this plant by pulling and bagging it.

Meet at the Davey Woods parking lot, 7661 Lonesome Road. For more information, contact the preserve manager at 937-537-6173.
