Graduations begin end of May

High school graduations begin in late May this year, starting off with Ohio Hi-Point in Bellefontaine.

Ohio Hi-Point’s graduation is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, outdoors on the hill. If there is foul weather, the ceremony will be held in the Bellefontaine High School gym.

Next up is Urbana High School. Urbana’s ceremony is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 27, at Climber Stadium. If there is bad weather, it will be determined by 5:30 p.m. whether festivities will move into the gym/auditorium or be held on Sunday, May 28. If held on Sunday, the ceremony would begin at 1:30 p.m. If there is bad weather that day, the ceremony will be in the gym/auditorium.

Three county high schools are holding their events about the same time on the same day. Mechanicsburg and West Liberty-Salem high schools will hold their ceremonies at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4. Triad High School’s graduation will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 4. All three schools will hold their events in their gymnasiums.

Graham High School’s graduation will round out the festivities at 7 p.m. Friday, June 9, in the gymnasium.
