PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

Giselle is definitely a sweetheart! Give her a chance and she will climb into your heart. Giselle is an attractive tiger cat with adorable markings. She is sweet and affectionate, all in one cute package. She would love to come home with you and be your forever friend. Giselle likes to sit on your lap or just hang out with you. She has a great purr and enjoys playing with the other cats at the shelter. She is up to date on her shots and spayed. She has been wormed and she tested negative for feline leukemia. She is litter box trained. Giselle would love to find a forever home with your family.

Stop by Paws Animal Shelter, 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078 or call Paws at 937-653-6233. The Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday and Monday-closed. You can email us at [email protected]. Visit us at www.facebook.com/paws.urbana. There are many wonderful cats, adorable kittens and fun-loving dogs at the shelter waiting for good homes. Paws Animal Shelter needs donations of Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Complete Cat Chow, Purina Dog Chow and Purina Puppy Chow. We also could use donations of bleach, laundry detergent and clumping cat litter. We are a nonprofit organization that operates only by donations. We do not receive any city, county or state funding. We depend on public donations and our adoption fees to run the shelter. Please consider making a donation to help fund our shelter.

PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

Really? Do you know how long I’ve been here at PAWS in Urbana? Well, I don’t know exactly how long because I’m a dog, but it’s been a really long time. My name is Levi and I am a really sweet guy. I’m not yet 3 years old and already I have spent a year and a half of that time in 2 shelters. I’m a Terrier/Lab something mix and I am very loving and social. I really like to take walks and sometimes the volunteers will play tickle bug with me….(I really like that!) I get along with everyone…. (well, I’m still deciding on the cats) and sure would like to meet your family and see if maybe I could be your next family addition. Please come out and see me! My number is 937-653-6233…the staff here at PAWS, will tell you all about me!

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

Destiny, a happy little girl, is looking for her forever home. Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) rescued Destiny and her nine puppies from the Franklin County Dog Shelter in Columbus. Destiny is a one-year-old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix who loves everybody and is fine with other dogs and is indifferent to cats. Destiny is currently in training for manners and house-training and would need a patient owner willing to work with this bright girl. Destiny, as with all CCAWL pets, is spayed, heart-worm tested, fully vaccinated, wormed, treated with heart worm prevention and flea protection. She has also been micro-chipped and comes with her 2017 Dog License. If you would like to meet Destiny or any of the pets at CCAWL, our facility is located 3858 SR 56, Mechanicsburg, OH. To see a complete listing of our available pets, please check out www.petfindercom and/or www.adoptapetcom. We require an approved adoption application for all adoptions. You can fill out an application at our facility or download an application from webpage at www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com. Our adoption fee is $150.00. Spring has sprung, and with the change of season, our thoughts turn to spring cleaning and much-needed home improvement projects. Before you embark on seasonal chores or outdoor revelry, take inventory of potential springtime hazards for your furry friends. If you suspect your pet may have come in contact with or ingested a potentially poisonous substance, contact your local veterinarian or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center immediately at (888) 426-4435. Spring cleaning is a time-honored tradition in many households, but be sure to keep all cleaners and chemicals out of your pets’ way! Almost all cleaning products, even all natural ones, contain chemicals that may be harmful to pets. The key to using them safely is to read and follow label directions for proper use and storage.

Barely Used Pets

Hi! My name is Rand and I am a 6-year-old Chihuahua Mix girl. My person rescued me, but was living in an apartment and didn’t feel that it was a good fit for me there. They say that I am a super friendly little girl. I just know that I have lots to be happy about. You see, that nice person rescued me and now I am in the next step of the process. I am so lucky that I was rescued, and now I just need a new forever family. I am so happy to be here with all of the other dogs. We get lots of loving and all of the blankets and toys we can ever want! But you see what I really, really need is a family of my own. Won’t you think about adding me to your family? I promise to be a good girl! Please come out and meet me. I am ready to go to my new forever home.

OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”

Levi has spent most of his young life in shelters, and though the loving, playful pooch enjoys affection from the PAWS Animal Shelter people, he needs the love a good home would provide. Why not check him out?

Six-year-old Rand was rescued by an apartment dweller who thinks the Chihuahua Mix would be happier with house and yard, rather than apartment, so took her to Barely Used Pets, where the people say this friendly girl is ready to be adopted.
