PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

Hello. My name is Sawyer. I am a very handsome, white Terrier/Retriever mix boy.

I am neutered and I’m about 3 years old. I’ve not had a very good life so far. I was at an out of state shelter and they were running out of room so my time was up. The wonderful people here at PAWS Shelter saw my picture and took me in here.

Due to my past experiences in life, which I can’t tell you, I need some time to gain trust in you. Can you be patient with me? I’m very timid and I bark when I meet you. Actually, I’m trying to communicate with you through my barking. The humans here at the shelter say I’m doing better, I think I am too.

I take treats nicely, I walk OK on a leash and I don’t jump.

Please come and check me out and see if we can be friends forever.

PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

My name is Patsy and I am a quiet girl looking for a forever home. I like my fellow cats and I am just the sweetest kitty you’ll ever meet. I have big, gorgeous, curious eyes and a lovable personality. I would love to find my new home with lots of places to explore and a warm lap to cuddle in at the end of the day. Wouldn’t you like to bring me home to make your home complete? Patsy is up to date on her shots and spayed. She has been wormed and she tested negative for feline leukemia. She is litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting Patsy, please come to meet her. You will fall in love with this cute girl!

Stop by Paws Animal Shelter, 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078 or call the shelter at 937-653-6233. We depend on public donations and our adoption fees to run the shelter.

Barely Used Pets

Hi! My name is Bess. I am about a year old and I am a Lab Pit mix girl. I was found as a stray and I am so glad they found me. Not only was I scared out there, but I had little ones in me ready to come out. I went up to a man’s house. He was so nice to me and he put blankets down for me and the next morning I had 10 puppies. Four of my little ones didn’t make it but the others did and off we all went to Barely Used Pets! My puppies have been adopted and I have been spayed, so I am ready for my new start with a new family. Won’t you come out and see me? I’m a really nice girl and I have so many stories to tell you!

Please visit our website: www.barelyusedpets.com. Also, like us on Facebook at Barely Used Pets Rescue (put spaces between the words). We can always use donations and they are all of those basic supplies that we use so quickly. We are in real need of lots and lots of paper towels! If you can bring us some we would surely appreciate it. Bess says…”Thanks so much for considering me and helping Barely Used Pets help all of us little ones find our forever homes! OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

Meet the lovely Cho, a 2-year-old Sharpei. Cho came to us from an Amish farm because she wouldn’t breed. She has been spayed, heart worm tested, fully vaccinated, wormed, treated with heart worm prevention and treated with a 3-month flea prevention. Cho has also been micro-chipped and comes with her 2017 Dog License. This lovable teddy bear is very social and loving, she doesn’t know a stranger and gets along fine with other dogs and cats. Cho does well in her kennel. She is very smart and eager to please and with a schedule could easily be housebroken. If you would like to meet CHO please feel free to visit our facility located at 3858 State Route 56, Mechanicsburg. To view a listing of all our available pets please visit petfinder.com and/or adoptapet.com. We do require an approved adoption application for all adoptions. You can fill out an application in house or download an application from our webpage at www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com. Our adoption/donation is $130.00.

The Champaign County Animal Welfare League continues to grow. To see our updates and follow our growth please check us out on Facebook. All our newest arrivals are previewed on our Facebook page first to give our followers first glimpse of new residents.

Two-year-old Cho, a Sharpei, likes other dogs, as well as cats and people. She was living at a farm, where she was not housebroken, but her caretakers at the Champaign County Animal Welfare League say she’s eager to please and should be trained easily.
