MARYSVILLE – The Ohio Beef Expo’s Judging Contest was held on March 17 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio. Over 400 youth participated in the contest, hosted by the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) and the Ohio State University Extension.

Two locals among the top ten individual spots in the senior division were Oliver McGuire and Mason Havens of Champaign County.

Participants evaluated live cattle classes and were required to answer questions regarding those classes. Participants were divided into junior and senior divisions. This contest would not have been possible without the valued donations of contest sponsors. The awards and lunch were sponsored by Ohio Soybean Farmers and Wood County Beef Producers.
