Artwork to be auctioned for Champaign Aviation Museum

This artwork pictured of the Space Shuttle blasting off was drawn by former shuttle astronaut Robert “Hoot” Gibson. The Champaign Aviation Museum will be accepting bids for it – and another artwork drawn by shuttle astronaut Robert Crippen – on its website (champaignaviationmuseum.org) and also in a silent auction to be held during its annual gala on April 22. The highest bid, either from the internet or the silent auction, will win each artwork. Tickets for the gala, which will feature former astronaut Dr. Rhea Seddon, are still available by accessing the website or by calling 652-4710.
