Sheriff’s office investigating Friday crash

On Friday at 8:54 a.m., a single-vehicle rollover with injuries near 6374 N. U..S. Route 68 was reported. The West Liberty Fire Department, Macochee EMS and the Champaign County Sheriff Office responded. A southbound silver 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer had exited the right side of the road and flipped at least three times in a field. Driver Susan M. Chamberlain, 40, of Urbana, and the lone juvenile passenger were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, with minor injuries. It was noted the road was icy and that the driver thought a tire had blown out and caused the crash. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
