Daisy came to PAWS a scared shy girl. She has come out of her shell. She loves to greet everyone who comes in to see the cats. She loves to be petted. Daisy is current on all her vaccinations and has tested negative for feline leukemia. Daisy would love for you to stop in and meet her. There are many wonderful cats, adorable kittens and fun-loving dogs at the shelter waiting for good homes. Paws Animal Shelter needs donations of Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Complete Cat Chow, Purina Dog Chow and Purina Puppy Chow. We also could use donations of bleach, laundry detergent, 39 gallon trash bags and clumping cat litter. We are a nonprofit organization that operates only by donations.

Hello, my name is Wendy. I’m the cutest girl here at PAWS Shelter. I’m only 1 year old and already I’ve had a near death experience. I was in another shelter here in Ohio and I was on the list to be killed. It was a small shelter and they didn’t have room for many stray dogs. So, the nice people here at PAWS Shelter saw me and went to pick me up..they saved me. I sure appreciate them because I’ve made so many friends here….both human friends and doggy friends. Everyone says I’m such a sweet girl. I love belly rubs, ear rubs, cuddles and, oh yeah, did I say belly rubs? I love treats and my nice soft bed. Do you have those at your house? You do? Well, then, could I come and live with you? I’ll love you forever and ever, ok?

Barely Used Pets
Hi. We are 2 sisters and we are inseparable – bonded at birth. We are 18 months old and are adorable black puggles. Come on. Just look at us. You have to admit that we are puggle cuteness times two. I am Trixie, the larger girl and I weigh about 25 pounds. My sister is Lucky and she weighs about 20. We are friendly little girls…talk to us and we try to turn inside out with wiggling. We are up to date on shots, and we just got spayed so we are ready to go home! They say they will give you special pricing for us as a pair. Please come out and see us and watch us wiggle as soon as you look our way!

Our regular hours are: Open Sunday 1-4pm, Wednesday and Thursdays 11am-6pm, Fridays 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-2pm. We are closed on Monday and Tuesday. We can always use donations and they are all of those basic supplies that we use so quickly. We need Clorox the most right now if you can drop off a couple of gallons for us! We need Lysol Lemon spray cleaner, paper towels, Dawn dish soap (original), and laundry soap. We can also use the elevated pet beds by Kuranda (go to kuranda.com). Champaign County Animal Welfare League
Allie Mae is a 5-year-old Beagle weighing 22 pounds. Allie is a very energetic little girl who prefers to run around outside rather than stay inside and snuggle. She does, however, love attention and enjoys being pampered and babied. Allie gets along fine with other dogs. She doesn’t start a fight but will try to bully sometimes. Allie Mae has been spayed, given all vaccinations, wormed and heart worm tested. She has also been micro chipped and has had a dental cleaning. The adoption/donation for Allie Mae is $130.00 and also includes her 2017 Dog License. We do require an approved adoption application, which includes a Veterinarian Reference. You can either fill out an application in house or download from our webpage listed above.
As the Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) grows we continue to rely on Volunteers as well as donations and support from the public.
