PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

Hello, folks. My name is Petey. I’m a very handsome 3-year-old Boxer mix boy. I am very friendly and I love all my kennel mates here at PAWS. I get along great with all of you humans, too. I’m kind of a big boy and I have lots of energy to play with my new family. I love kids and would love to be your best friend forever. If you would like to make me your best friend, please come and meet me at PAWS Shelter. Please be aware that I can jump over our fence here at the shelter, so you might need a big fence or want to give me some training. I have been on a few Adoption Events recently and I was voted the “most fun loving dog”. Come meet me.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

Meet Mason. From a litter of five, this precious boy along with his siblings were surrendered several weeks ago and had not had the best of care. He is now a thriving, healthy, playful puppy looking for a forever home. We believe the litter to be Belgian Malinois mixes, although Mason appears to have more of the mix. His siblings resembled more of the Malinois.

Mason is the last of his litter. He is missing his siblings and is hoping to find his new home by Christmas. This large puppy is only 15 weeks old and currently weighs 27.2 lbs. Mason has been neutered, wormed, treated with a 3 month flea prevention and started on heart worm prevention. He has had his first 2 sets of vaccinations, given Bordatella and has also been microchipped. As with all CCAWL adopted dogs, Mason will come with his 2017 Dog License. If you are interested in giving Mason his new forever home we do require an approved application. You may fill out an application here at our facility or download an application from our webpage at www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com. We do require a Veterinarian reference to be approved.

If you would like to visit our available pets or just check out our facility we are located at 3858 state Route 56, Mechanicsburg. Our hours are 10:00am – 4:00pm everyday except Sunday & Tuesday. Later hours are available by appointment. For more information on Mason or any of our adoptable residents please call the CCAWL at 937-834-5236. A complete listing of our residents can be found at petfinder.com and/or adoptapet.com. To keep updated on our newest arrivals and follow our growth and events be sure to “like” our Facebook page. We have a lot of new exciting things in store for 2017.

Barely Used Pets

Hi! My name is Abby and I am a combination of Greyhound and Pit. I am 5 years old and weigh around 50 pounds, so I’m not all that big. I can still be a sofa girl if you will let me. My person fell on some hard times and lost their job and their house. It was so hard to let me come here, but sometimes people have to make those really hard choices. I said not to worry about me…I will be alright! I am the kind of girl who wants to be with you and I can even shake with both paws. I am alright with other dogs, but I need to be carefully introduced to them. I would probably be happier if I was your one-and-only 🙂 I have been out with other dogs here at Barely Used Pets and things have gone alright, but still I can be a little touchy on that one. Won’t you please come and take me home…not for the holidays but forever? I promise to be a good girl!

Oh yeah, take a look at me with the Dog Warden Lady. Her name is Melanie Ward and whenever you find a 4-legged dog that’s out there and lost please call her at 937-484-1613. It’s really important to let the Dog Warden know who’s out there because often a family is looking for them. Even if that’s not the case, the dog warden works with the local rescues to get dogs adopted out when they aren’t claimed. They all work together to help us little ones! But now…back to me. Please open your heart and your home for me. I will love you like nobody’s business. Remember, I’m the girl who wants to be with you. I’m a little clingy, but that’s a good thing. I need a forever family to love me. They say that adopting one dog won’t change the world, but for that one dog the whole world changes.

Please visit our website: www.barelyusedpets.com. Also, like us on Facebook at Barely Used Pets Rescue (put spaces between the words). Barely Used Pets is located at 844 Jackson Hill Road in Urbana, Ohio. You can give us a call at 937-869-8090. We are open Sunday 1-4pm, Wednesday and Thursdays 11am-6pm, Fridays 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-2pm. We are CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday. We can always use donations and they are all of those basic supplies that we use so quickly. We need Clorox the most right now if you can drop off a couple of gallons for us! We need Lysol Lemon spray cleaner, paper towels, Dawn dish soap (original), and laundry soap. We can also use the elevated pet beds by Kuranda (go to kuranda.com). Any donations are always appreciated. Please take a look at our website for other ideas for donations.

Thanks so much for considering me and helping Barely Used Pets help all of us little ones find our forever home. OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!

Sweet Stevie Nicks is ready to be adopted at PAWS Animal Shelter. And, if one new friend isn’t enough, you might want to consider her sisters, also musically named, Aretha and Patsy.

Boxer mix Petey is a fellow who seems to get along with everybody – dogs and humans, the young and the older. He can jump the fence at PAWS Animal Shelter, so a fence or training or both are advised.

Mason is the the last of a litter of five to find homes with the help of the Champaign County Animal Welfare League. He’s missing his siblings and would be happy to find new human friends, and perhaps furry ones too, before the new year.
