Hi! My name is Dan and I am a beagle boy about 2 years old in people years. I’m not too big, about 45 pounds. I have been here at Barely Used Pets since about a week before Christmas and I have met so many dogs. They talk so much and although I’ve got that famous beagle howl, I only let that out when it’s really needed, like when the others are getting a little too loud. I had a girl beagle next to me for a little bit and her name is Sandy. Let me tell you…I’m glad she got a home because that was far too much competition. Now it’s just me back here in the corner and I’m good with that. Whoever gets to be next to me always gets a nuzzle through the kennel fence to know it’s going to be alright, especially if it’s their first day. I tell them all about play time and who to hang out with. Everyone talks about how laid back I am. I guess that’s a good thing. I’m sitting here with my duck (his name is Donald). I just got neutered in this photo so I’m feeling a little weird. I heard them say that if I looked down there too much they would have to put me in the cone (of shame!), so I’m being a good boy right now. I’ve seen those cones and the others always makes fun of the cone kids. They say that getting this out of the way means I’m now ready to go to my new home. Please come and see me and we can spend a little time talking. If you could find a little room in your heart and your home for me, I would surely be your most loyal friend. I will stay by your side and I’ll even bring my Donald with me. He’s a pretty good guy as well, except for that squeaker he has. Maybe you can help me find that and we can do a little surgery on him. Please take me home and love me. That’s all I need and maybe a soft pillow to nap on. Besides, if you help me get out of here that means that my space will be open and another little one who needs help and a home can take my place here and be closer to finding their new forever home, too.
