Our “Hope”, here at PAWS Animal Shelter, is a wonderful dog – loving, and loyal. She is very playful and loves people. Hope is a female, adult Chocolate Lab, who would love a home with lots of room to run. She is good with kids and seems to enjoy playing with them. Hope has been with most of our other dogs here at the Shelter and she is doing well with them. She does not do well with the felines. Hope is a beautiful girl who needs a chance in the right home. Please stop out and meet her.

Marmalade is a sweet girl who would be a real treat to own. Adorable Marmalade is a quiet, orange tabby. She is looking for a good home. She would be the ideal companion curled up on the couch beside you. She is playful, curious and affectionate. Marmalade came to Paws pregnant. She delivered 5 kittens on March 28, 2015. All of her kittens found homes and Marmalade is waiting for her forever home. Marmalade is up to date on her shots and is spayed. She has been wormed and she tested negative for feline leukemia. Marmalade is litter box trained. She likes people and other cats. Consider adopting this cute girl and she will be your best friend for life!

Hi! My name is Wheezie. I am a little Terrier Mix guy and I am 4 years old. I weigh 10 pounds. I have had a little bit of a tough journey to get here. I lived with a couple and I was kind of the man’s dog. He passed away and she could no longer take care of me, so I had to go to that other shelter. Well, they didn’t have room for me and they asked Barely Used Pets to please help me find a home. Wow…I am kind of afraid to unpack my suitcase! Won’t you please, please…please let me come home with you and be part of your family. I’m little and I don’t eat much. I’m little and I just need a little bed. I promise to be a good boy if you will just give me a chance to be happy again. Please open your heart and your home for me and I will love you back so much you won’t have a bucket big enough to hold it all. I Like Cats AND Dogs…I Love to walk on a leash and guess what? Yep…I’m Housebroken! Everyone says that is a very, very good thing! Come on over and let’s go home!

“If you don’t own a dog, at least one, there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life – Roger A. Caras. Now is the time to change your life for the best! Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) rescued a litter of six Collie/Beagle puppies. All have been adopted except for three: Cooper, Maverick and Shiloh. They are all males and 10 weeks old. Two are tri-colored and one is sable and white. They weigh around 6 pounds and are healthy, playful puppies.
As with all Champaign County Animal Welfare League pets, the puppies are completely vetted before being put up for adoption. They are neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations including worming and treated with heart-worm prevention and flea prevention.

CCAWL is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the pets of Champaign County. We always appreciate your donations and all donations are tax deductible. We are currently in need of Bleach, Dawn Dish Soap, Laundry Detergent, Milk Bone Dog Biscuits and Cat/Kitten Toys.
If you are looking to support CCAWL by volunteering, we would love to meet you. Applications may be picked up at our location. We also require proof of a current tetanus shot to accompany the completed application.
