The National Tractor Pullers Association has named the Enderle Pull-Off, the association’s all-star invitational event located in Urbana, the 2015 “Grand National Pull of the Year.” Title sponsor Enderle Fuel Injection’s president and founder Kent Enderle of Simi Valley, California, along with stepson Mike and Yovana Keena were honored at the NTPA’s Convention and Awards Banquet in Dublin on Dec. 5. “The Enderle,” as it is commonly called, was voted by the members of NTPA “Pull of the Year” by competing members of the NTPA in a category that included 20 other Grand National events across the United States.

NTPA Office GM and Urbana native Gregg Randall said, “This honor extends to the entire community of people from Champaign County that volunteer, sponsor and work so hard to make this event successful. The Champaign Co. Agricultural Society, City of Urbana, and other groups have been instrumental in providing assistance and support of the event. Without all of supporters over the last 10 years, this event would not be as prestigious as it is. Thanks to all of you as we appreciate your time, energy and kindness in making the Enderles and NTPA competitors feel welcome. This award reflects upon your efforts in making the Enderle Pull-Off special beyond its monetary rewards to NTPA competitors.”

The award is sponsored by Simpson Performance of Charlotte, Michigan, and was presented to the Enderles by president Max Simpson. The NTPA also honors Regional National and Super National Pulls of the Year. In 2015, these awards went to the Erie County Fair Pull in Sandusky and the National Tractor Pulling Championships in Bowling Green, respectively.

The 2015 edition of the Enderle Pull-Off, its 10th at the Champaign County Fairgrounds, was expanded to include 24 pulling divisions for which competitors across the nation strived to qualify throughout the season. The one-day event rewarded its participants with over $105,000. Across its 29-year history, the Enderle’s payout has exceeded $1.5 million.

The 30th annual Enderle Pull-Off is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Champaign County Fairgrounds. More information can be found at allstarpull.com.
