Santa arrives at the Gloria


Horse-drawn trolley driver Bob Skelton had the honors of bringing Santa into the throng of children awaiting his arrival at the Gloria Theater in Urbana on Friday. A Christmas parade of horses opened the evening before Santa made his big entrance downtown. Santa Land at the Gloria will be open through Dec. 19 on Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the hours of operation, children are invited to hand-deliver their letters to Santa, and parents are invited to take pictures of their children with Santa.
