St. Paris to hold public meetings on ballot issue

ST. PARIS – Village residents are invited to two public meetings intended to provide an overview of an electricity aggregation ballot question on the November ballot.

St. Paris will hold public meetings on electric aggregation on Oct. 3 and Nov. 7 at the municipal building, 135 W. Main St. Both meetings are scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.

St. Paris is one of several communities within the DP&L electric utility area where residents will have an opportunity to secure lower electricity rates by approving a community aggregation question on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Affordable Gas and Electric (AGE) has been retained by the village to guide them through the process of approving the aggregation questions, formulating the bidding process for the group of communities and to manage the ongoing efforts for the collective group.

Representatives from AGE will be on hand at the public meetings to answer questions.
