Urbana University is inviting all area businesses and organizations to participate in the 2016 Activities Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the lawn of the Student Center.
The event will attract faculty, staff, residential and commuter students and provides new and returning students with an opportunity to learn about the many events and activities available to them in the Urbana community. Last year, over 70 participants attended. Student groups, businesses and community organizations can display information about their organization and even recruit new members or volunteers.
Many UU students are not from this area and are looking for area services and information.
Table space, chairs, water and lunch will be provided to the representatives from participating groups. Information, discount offers and samples are welcome.
To register, call 937-772-9281 or email [email protected] There is no charge to participate. Due to the event being held outdoors, access to internet and electricity is limited and not guaranteed. Vendors are encouraged to have small pop-up tents for shade. In the event of rain, the Activities Fair will be in the Warren G. Grimes Center.
