A North Lewisburg resident pleaded not guilty to multiple felony sex charges during an initial arraignment hearing on Wednesday.

Jerry E. Duhl, 66, of 7828 Mingo-Lewisburg Road, is charged with two first degree felony rape charges in addition to seven counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of sexual imposition.

The grand jury indictment contends the alleged conduct took place between July 2010 and December 2014. The indictment also states the alleged conduct involved three victims.

During Wednesday’s hearing, Duhl was placed on a personal recognizance bond, prohibiting him from contact with the victims and placing him on electronic monitoring. The court granted Duhl the ability to leave his residence for medical appointments.

A scheduling conference in the case is scheduled for Oct. 22.

Co-defendants in drug raid appear in court

Three of four co-defendants charged in a drug raid of an Urbana residence from last month made their initial appearance in court on Wednesday.

No pleas were entered during arraignment hearings for co-defendants James H. Blakeman, Patrick H. Rogan and Aaron R. Bensman as the three men were found indigent and will appear in court again on Friday and Monday.

On Sept. 25, several officers from the Urbana Police Division raided 115 Gwynne St. on a drug-related search warrant. As a result of the raid, police took four individuals into custody and seized suspected crack cocaine, cocaine paraphernalia, prescription medications, marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and cash.

The residence is the home of Blakeman and his wife, Stormy Blakeman. The Blakemans, Rogan and Bensman were all indicted earlier this month.

Mr. Blakeman, 36, is charged with four counts of trafficking in cocaine, three counts of permitting drug abuse and one count each of possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

As part of a personal recognizance bond, the court ordered him to have no contact with Rogan or Bensman in addition to having no visitors after 8 p.m. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Friday.

The court did not prohibit Mr. Blakeman from having contact with his wife, who is currently in custody at the Tri-County Regional Jail, Mechanicsburg. Mrs. Blakeman, 35, was taken to the jail on the date of the raid for a parole violation.

She is charged with one count each of possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia, permitting drug abuse, possession of dangerous drugs and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mrs. Blakeman pleaded not guilty to the charges on Oct. 5 and remained in custody at the Tri-County Regional Jail as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the jail’s website.

Rogan, 45, is charged with one count each of possession of cocaine and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed on a personal recognizance bond, ordered to have no contact with his co-defendants or 115 Gwynne St., and is scheduled to return to court on Monday.

Bensman, 41, is charged with one count each of possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia, permitting drug abuse and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed on a personal recognizance bond, ordered to have no contact with his co-defendants, have no visitors after 8 p.m. and is scheduled to return to court Friday.
