Cedar Bog will host another Moth Night with Entomologist and Cedar Bog Volunteer Naturalist Jim Lemon on Friday, July 8, at dusk (around 8 or 9 p.m.). In the event of rain, Moth Night will move to Saturday, July 9, at dusk (around 8 or 9 p.m.). Several rare species of moths have been spotted at Cedar Bog. There is no cost to attend Moth Night, but donations are appreciated. It is recommended to bring or wear a hat and long-sleeved shirt for this event.

Join Tom Hissong, Education Coordinator from Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm, at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9, for a tree lecture and hike along the boardwalk at Cedar Bog. Hissong will share his expertise on the tree species of Ohio.

The nonprofit Cedar Bog Nature Preserve is located at 980 Woodburn Road, four miles south of Urbana off U.S. Route 68. For more information on events at Cedar Bog, call 937-484-3744 or email [email protected].
