Urbana Univ. names 3 to board of trustees

The appointment of J.C. Wallace, David Phillips and Angelo Frole to the Urbana University Board of Trustees was announced by board Chairman Dr. David R. Decker.

J.C. Wallace is president of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce and Troy Development Council. He has extensive experience in business and workforce development as well as international trade and business development. His previous experience includes the Ohio Economic Development Association, the Springfield-Clark County Chamber of Commerce and the Ohio Department of Development.

David Phillips is vice president of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management, North American Division, for Rittal Corporation. Rittal, which started in Germany in 1961, now includes offices in more than 70 countries and manufacturing facilities on four continents, including the Corporation’s Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Urbana. Prior to joining Rittal in 2013, he was the multi-site leader for Ingersoll Rand.

Angelo Frole, CSC, has served in academic leadership at Columbus State Community College for more than 10 years. He was recently appointed to lead the Business and Engineering Technologies programs, after having been dean of the Delaware Campus since 2011. Prior to entering higher education, he was director of Information Products at the former Lucent Technologies for 30 years. His holds degrees from Central Michigan University and the University of Dayton.

“We are very pleased to announce the addition of these new trustees to the University board,” Decker said. “Each of these individuals brings a high level of leadership and business expertise to the board, from logistics and supply chain, to international relations, technology and higher education. We are looking forward to continuing to advance the mission and vision of Urbana University in partnership with this expanded board.”
