The newly updated Vintage will open its doors Monday.
A Wing Bar updates the former Vintage Restaurant at 1549 S. U.S. Route 68, next to the Vintage Drive Thru. Formally called the Vintage Drive Thru & Cafe and Wing Bar, the remodeled and updated restaurant will feature hand-tossed and breaded wings, salads, appetizers and pizzas, with a full-service bar.
The former Vintage restaurant opened in 1998 and was run by the Fraley family. The restaurant closed about 1.5 years ago, Mike Fraley said, when the oldest daughter moved on to other things. The family wanted to re-open the restaurant, and a recent approval for liquor sales and Sunday sales jump-started that endeavor.
The inside of the restaurant has been completely updated, with fresh flooring, new paint and more. The bar will feature 10 beer taps, a mix of domestic and craft beers. There will also be bottled beer, wine and cocktails. Kim Fraley said the restaurant wants to make its own specialty drinks, with a focus on martinis.
The food has a new twist, according to owners Kim and Mike Fraley and Manager Amber Fraley. They say the restaurant is focusing on higher-end items and aims to be fully organic. The pizzas will be baked in a new stone-fired oven, Kim Fraley said. Pizzas will be gourmet, with options such as an Italian vegetable pizza with brie sauce. More traditional pizzas can be made to order.
The Fraleys hope to allow for carryout orders through the drive-thru. Beverages and other items can be purchased through the drive-thru as well.
The restaurant will feature entertainment on the weekends, Kim Fraley said. The patio area will have a stage perfect for performances, with no cover charge planned for the shows, she said.
The Fraleys said they will probably hire eight to 10 people for the business.
The restaurant’s hours will be 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday to Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday to Saturday. The former restaurant was not open Sundays. The drive-thru hours will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
