MECHANICSBURG – A law firm that opened a few months ago in the office formerly occupied by the late William “Bill” Saxbe, has made the transition from a partnership to a sole proprietorship following attorney Bradley Jeckering’s decision to buy out partner Richard McCreedy.

The Columbus-based law firm, founded as Jeckering & McCreedy Attorneys at Law but now operating as the Law Offices of Bradley Jeckering, LLC, began serving clients in Champaign County from its downtown Mechanicsburg office, 16 S. Main St., on Feb. 1. After taking over full ownership of the practice on May 23, Jeckering decided to keep both the Columbus and Mechanicsburg offices open.

“I’m excited to remain a part of the Champaign County community,” he said.

To staff the local office, Jeckering recently hired an associate attorney, Jeffrey Fogel, who received his law degree in 2014 from Capital University.

“Jeff is an exciting addition because he brings a passion for justice and municipal court experience to the firm,” Jeckering said. “Jeff is eager to learn about Champaign County, and he shares my passion about service to the community.”

Champaign County native Matthew Watson, a 2010 graduate of Triad High School currently enrolled at the University of Dayton School of Law, has been hired as the firm’s law clerk.

“Matt is an exciting addition because he is local to the area and has worked for the … prosecutor’s office in the municipal court,” Jeckering said.

The Law Offices of Bradley Jeckering, which handles a wide range of subjects including divorce, estates and wills, criminal work and small-business issues, can be reached by calling 937-896-2222 or visiting the practice’s website at www.centralohiolegal.com.
