The Tractor Supply Co. store in Urbana, located in Unit 1A at 1637 E. U.S. Route 36, will host activities for families and their pets, including pet adoptions, Saturday, Sept. 19, as part of Pet Appreciation Week.

Barely Used Pets Rescue, of Champaign County, will have adoptable pets on site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19.

“Pet Appreciation Week is one of our favorite and most successful events of the entire year,” said Derin Beaverson, manager of the Urbana Tractor Supply store. “More often than not, animals become a member of the family, and there’s something really special about helping a family find and care for the perfect pet.”

The Sept. 19 event will include raising awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering pets and providing information on proper pet care and nutrition.

Several activities will take place during the main event, including Pet Adoption and 4health Resource Center.
