Electronics Technician 2nd Class Joseph Everett of Conover was selected as a member of a question and answer session with the President on Sept. 11. Petty Officer 2nd Class Everett, currently serving aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), was selected to ask the President questions after being awarded Junior Sailor of the Year aboard his ship. The Roosevelt is currently deployed to the Arabian Gulf in support of area military operations. Upon return from deployment, Everett plans to pursue a college degree while continuing his military career.
