Multiple first responders and county agencies participated in a hazardous materials drill Thursday morning at the county fairgrounds. A part of the fairgrounds served as a mock setting of Monument Square. The drill involved a crash resulting in a hazardous material leaking onto the roadway and threatening waterways. The drill was coordinated by the Local Emergency Planning Committee and will be evaluated by the Ohio Emergency Management Agency.

The hazardous materials drill Thursday at the county fairgrounds included a mock press conference with Urbana Fire Chief Mark Keller, left, and Urbana Director of Administration Kerry Brugger.
