Two candidates filed before Monday’s write-in candidate deadline to be in the Nov. 3 election, although their names will not appear on ballots.

Richard Ebert filed to be a write-in candidate for Urbana City Council’s 4th ward seat. He’s up against Democrat Everett Ray Piper in the election.

Woodstock Mayor Jackie Hayes filed to be a write-in candidate in hopes of retaining her mayor’s seat. She has no competition.

Polls will be open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.
