Healthy Families ‘15 offers screenings, education, fun

SPRINGFIELD – Healthy Families ‘15 will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Hollenbeck Bayley Arts & Conference Center, 275 S. Limestone St. The Community Health Foundation will offer a way to explore possibilities for fun, fitness and good health in this free and interactive family wellness expo.

People of all ages will find activities, resources and recreational ideas. There will be health screenings and consultations to discuss specific health concerns, presentations from health experts, healthy snacks, activities and demonstrations in five zones:

Man Cave – Information and demonstrations for men and those who care about them.

Kids’ Clubhouse – Activities for young people and resources for their caregivers.

Super Seniors – Wellness opportunities for the active over-55 crowd.

Just For Women – Resources to help women take care of themselves and their families.

Food and Fitness – Grab a snack and learn about ways to stay in shape.

Registration is not required, but because seating in the breakout rooms is limited, reserve a spot for the presentations that capture your interest.
