Pianist Reich to perform Sunday

In the second of three concerts in the annual Sunday concert series, the Champaign County Arts Council will present pianist Sam Reich at 4 p.m. on April 10 at the Arts Council gallery, 119 Miami St., Urbana.

The concert is sponsored by The Reich Family.

Tickets are available at the Arts Council office, on the website (www.champaigncountyartscouncil.org) and at the door. Admission is $15.

Reich performs solo and chamber music in the United States, Europe and South America. Recent performances include concerts for the Ohio Arts Council, the Bogota International Piano Festival, the Costa Rica International Piano Festival, and the Ritsos Project in Greece.

Reich is a graduate of Eastman School of Music where he served as a teaching assistant and accompanist. He has participated in master classes with Yoshi Nagai and Daniel Pollack. His teachers include T.J. Lymenstull, Jean Barr, Barry Snyder, Thomas Schumacher and Enrico Elisi.

The 2015-2016 concert series is sponsored by Sally Johnson and Charles and Joan Stadler and will finish with a concert by pianist Taylor Wang on Sunday, May 15.

This program is also made possible by the Ohio Arts Council, which helps fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence, and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
